Where to See the Cherry Blossoms Near Arlington Real Estate

The pink flowers that adorn the branches of the cherry blossom tree are familiar to people worldwide, and Washington D.C. is arguably one of the best places to enjoy these stunning blooms. However, across the Potomac River in Arlington, several other locations have their own collection of these gorgeous trees. Though they don't draw the same crowds as D.C's Tidal Basin, they allow for a less hectic experience. With this in mind, let's explore extraordinary places in the Arlington area to enjoy the cherry blossoms of this coming spring.

Arlington National Cemetery

Many consider Arlington National Cemetery one of America's living history books as many servicemen, influential government figures, presidents, and astronauts are buried here. We honor those who served our country with one of the finest burial sites in the United States. In memoriam, many trees were planted on the hallowed grounds, including the beloved cherry blossom tree. Take the tour of the cemetery, and you'll spot them at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as the Kennedy gravesite.

National Landing

The National Landing Business Improvement District enriches the community of Arlington. This member-driven organization began to promote all types of local business and is now a mixed-use urban locale of more than 450 shops and restaurants near the D.C. metro area. It's highly walkable, making it perfect for viewing the twelve new cherry blossom trees planted there in May of 2021. They'll bloom in their first years yet won't reach their full maturity until they're five to seven years old. Alongside the new trees, the 25 "Art in Bloom" sculptures of oversized blossoms are decorated by local artists and are a striking visual sight.

River Farm

The River Farm in Alexandria is a lush garden featuring many plants and wildlife throughout its grounds. This 25-acre farm is a gorgeous piece of the town's history and was owned by George Washington. Today, it is home to the American Horticultural Society and features a small grove of cherry blossom trees near the front gates of the farm. Head over to East Boulevard Drive for a picturesque blossom viewing.

There are many more cherry blossom tree locations throughout Arlington than those listed here.
